Youth & Political Ads

MTV has started accepting political ads. And the first political ad that millions of young people will see is a negative attack on Senator Barack Obama - saying he's "worse than a flip-flopper" and accusing him of no longer being against the war.Senator Obama seems that he can do very well with young people. Senator John McCain says that he is leader. I disagree with that. He is not a leader in my eyes if he allows his campaign to spread untrue and misleading information about Senator Obama. It's just outrageous.While I thank Senator McCain for his service to the United States of America, I don't feel that he is the right person to be President of the United States. I want someone that will change the game in Washington, DC and I believe Senator Obama is that person.
I think that people will look forward to seeing a young Senator Obama on MTV then a old Senator McCain. I know many young people that just hate President George W. Bush because of how we are living lately and they say that Senator McCain is just like another President Bush.

For those that don' know, my name is Asher Heimermann from Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
As Americans, we dream of a President who is honest, personable, intelligent, and wise. We want a leader with courage and integrity who has known the struggles of an everyday American. A lot of people have stopped believing that may even be possible.
I haven't stopped believing. I support Senator Barack Obama because he is that leader. Join me in supporting Senator Obama by making a donation to my personal fundraising page. When I was a student in 8th Grade in early 2008, I had a goal of $2,500. By June, I had already reached that goal.

Fortunately...

Fortunately there comes a time where all good things come to an end. Today, I am announcing that I will be suspending my youth activism campaign as of June 15th, 2008.
I have appreciated the opportunities and experiences that have been provided to me during my four years of my involvement in politics. I will continue to follow politics. This has been a wonderful experience. I could not ask for much more. I have grown in many ways and will treasure the opportunities provided to me.
I began this journey to make a difference. To make a difference for my city, state, and nation. We have a committed to change history. To show America and the world that one voice can change the world.
To all of my supporters, thank you. Thank you for your support and trust. With out you, I could have never went as far as I would have. I know that this maybe uncomfortable news to you and I understand.
It is time for me to step aside and move on. As a Democrat, I know that we will strong and united to have a America where we can live without fear that we can all make a difference no matter of color and age. But I really need to move on with my life.

On the night of Monday, June 9th, United States Representative Dennis Kucinich introduced on the floor of the House of Representatives articles of impeachment against President George W. Bush. He is presenting a 35 count indictment which was being broadcasted live on C-SPAN.

Democartic Party officials said Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid had been contacting uncommitted superdelegates, encouraging them to prepare to go public and resolve any last question about the contest between Senator Barack Obama and Senator Hillary Clinton.
Senator Obama's lead in the delegate race and potential support among the approximately 200 Members of the United States Congress and Democratic insiders who have yet to declare, the push to wind up the race works to his benefit.
