So here's my prediction.....

NJ murder rate will rise. Especially heinous crimes.

NJ state taxes will rise. Someone's got to pay for the privilege of providing these victims of the NJ judicial system room and board.... since they'll be there until they die of old age. Their first guest of honor... Jesse Timmendequas, a sex offender who murdered 7-year-old Megan Kanka in 1994 and inspired Megan's Law.

Many are the days I'm glad I live in Texas.

for those that care.... update to a prior blog

After my screaming and hollering (not really - but spoke firmly and with resolve) at AmEx for upping my rate because I was late on one payment... one payment in like 10 years of having that card... they actually returned my rate to where it should be... and within the billing cycle.

So briefly, before this fiasco my rates were:
Transfer Balance: 2.88% for life
Purchase Balance: 21%

I really didn't care about the purchase rate as I got the card for the 2.88% to handle some divorce debt and never carried a purchase balance.

But after being late on one payment it went to:
Transfer Balance: 32% !!!!
Purchase Balance: 32%

Now not only did I get the my Transfer Balance back to 2.88%... they even lowered by purchase balance to 7% !!!

Well I almost take back every thing I said about them... almost. They never should have jacked the rates in the first place. But it's nice to know that threatening to remove the money from them worked. I did make arrangements to clear the balance... but that 2.88% is hard to beat when my investments are earning 10-12%

Good!!! Media showboaters like this guy, who are out strictly to make a name for themselves no matter whose innocent lives they destroy, need to be removed from the justice system and placed in the criminal system.

....when a greedy spoiled whiny worthless little BLEEP makes news over the real issues in this country! And the fact that people still 'worship' her is even more sad. I watch the news for news - not this crap!

For those who think that Paris "I'm a BLEEP" Hilton matters ...  get a frickin life!!!

The first-term Illinois senator said that with black people from New Orleans and the Gulf Coast still displaced 20 months after Hurricane Katrina, frustration and resentments are building explosively as they did before the 1992 riots.

"This administration was colorblind in its incompetence," Obama said at a conference of black clergy, "but the poverty and the hopelessness was there long before the hurricane.

"but the poverty and the hopelessness was there long before the hurricane"???
Mr Obamalama... with all due "lack of" respect, who in the h*ll do you think was running New Orleans before the hurricane? Let's see.. if I recall you had a corrupt black mayor, a corrupt AND now indited black congressman... and a whiny blame-it-on-someone-else liberal governer. I think you need to look at your own people if you want to blame the piss-poor condition of New Orleans BEFORE the hurricane on someone... much less now.

On my last AmEx statement my "fixed" interest rate of 2.8% on transfers and 21% on purchased/balances have both just jumped to 30%? WTH???

Course everytime I try to call I get a message that they are receiving a "higher than normal" number of calls with some rediculous wait time. Geeee, I wonder why. Is this a snafu or can a CC company change a fixed rate?

Anyone else have the same thing happen?

This kind of crap just pisses me off. No one has a "right" to use eHarmony. eHarmony is a PRIVATE BUSINESS, specifically engineered and developed for a target market, and they can choose who they want as a clientele and should not be forced to start providing a service, at THEIR EXPENSE, that their business model is not designed for. If there is a market for gays.. then someone would have or has already created a online site for them.  We would be seeing eGay.com commercials.

I think Alec Baldwin needs to join Michael Richards in some anger management rehab.

On the recording, Baldwin can be heard admonishing his 11-year-old daughter, Ireland, "You are a rude, thoughtless little pig."

"You don't have the brains or the decency as a human being," he says, apparently upset that she did not answer her phone for a planned call. - source CNN

Al? Jessie? Where are you? We need you? Or does Baldwin get a "Get out of jail free because I'm a liberal" card?

Just wanted you to know all of our troops will be gone by September 1st 2008 so you may use the time until then for restocking your weapons of terror, recruiting and training more suicide bombers, and just to chill back and relax. After September 1st 2008 we won't be there to stop you so go wild.

Sincerely,

The democrats

For every soldier that we bring back home - we replace them with an anti-war protestor.

Apparently these highly intellegent protestors think they have a better solution than war... so let just ship 'em over there so they can make nicey nice with the terrorist.

Problem solved!

One of the many things that ticks me off -- yeah there's a bunch -- just kidding -- is when people erroneously throw around the word "rights".

People seem to think they have a right to pretty much everything... when actually it's not as many as you think. You do not have the right to own a car, you do not have the right to own a house, you do not have the right to a job, etc etc etc. These things are not in the Bill of Rights. You have the right to pursue those things --- but nothing guarantees that you will obtain them.

The lastest 'sign of a lack of intellegence' came from an article in the NY Grimes. I'm only going to post a small part of the article here - but enough to prove my point

MySpace Restrictions Upset Some Users

By BRAD STONE Published: March 20, 2007

Some users of MySpace feel as if their space is being invaded.

MySpace, the Web’s largest social network, has gradually been imposing limits on the software tools that users can embed in their pages, like music and video players that also deliver advertising or enable transactions.

At stake is the ability of MySpace, which is owned by the News Corporation, to ensure that it alone can commercially capitalize on its 90 million visitors each month.

But to some formerly enthusiastic MySpace users, the new restrictions hamper their abilities to design their pages and promote new projects.

“The reason why I am so bummed out about MySpace now is because recently they have been cutting down our freedom and taking away our rights slowly,” wrote Tila Tequila, a singer who is one of MySpace’s most popular and visible users, in a blog posting over the weekend. “MySpace will now only allow you to use ‘MySpace’ things.”

"cutting down our freedom and taking away our rights slowly,”  Miss Tuquila.. this statement just spews with stupidity. Please point out in the Bill of Rights where you have right to control in what goes on in MySpace. MySpace is a privately owned business. They make the rules... they control their content... you don't even have the right to a MySpace account. If you don't like what MySpace is doing - then use your right to choose to take your business somewhere else!

The feeble minds of the anti-war protesters never cease to amaze me. Several were quoted saying "War has never solved anything". Uhhh - excuse me Mr and Mrs protester.... what in the hell do you think gave you the freedom to protest? The birth of your country and it's underlying freedom was not negotiated - it was won on the battlefield. The evil foreign powers that tried to undermine your democracy, your freedom, and your way of life were not defeated by crying to mamma and saying please leave us alone - they were defeated on the battlefield. Because of war - you have the freedom to carry around your little sign and yell out your doltish opinions. Try using that void between your ears to actually think for yourself instead of playing puppet to the typical leftest anti-American rhedoric for a change.
