What are your thoughts on Indian mascots?  Demcrats in Madison want to put a plan in place that would require the state to investigate complaints regarding these types of mascots. The DPI could be called in to order the school to change.

I'd like to hear what you think...

These mascots represent the people of strength and honor who hunted and protected these areas long before schools were built, businesses erected and settles over took the area. It is a small but important way of HONORING them by naming our school mascots after them...recognizing and acknowledging the strength and courage Indians possess. It is out of respect that we (teams) want to be just as strong, to be revered and respected by others, just as they were back then. To me it is an HONOR not an insult to be a MOSINEE INDIAN...We are the Indians, Mighty, Mighty Indians....Where is the insult in being Mighty?
